Anonymous Donor Gives Cash for Groceries
An anonymous donor in Newport is providing $5,000 in JC Market gift cards for groceries to give to Newport area schools to help families in need. JC Market also gave a 10% discount, resulting in $5,500 in gift cards. The cards will be in denominations of $50 and $100, and will be divided by student population percentage between the four schools in Newport.
Each school will have their own method of determining which families will receive the donations.
“I am continually amazed at the generosity of our communities,” commented Superintendent Steve Boynton. “We certainly have a need, and this gift will be welcomed by many families who truly need it. Thank you to this anonymous donor and to JC Market in Newport.”
