Trish and her husband, Jonny, had been married since late 2009. In 2010, Trish had been having a lot of debilitating migraine headaches, which eventually led to an MRI scan and the discovery of a brain tumor in Trish’s brain. Later in 2010 after an unsuccessful attempt to orthoscopically remove the tumor, the neurosurgeon had attempted a second surgery via a different method about one month after the first attempt, and the tumor had been successfully removed. Although the migraine headaches stopped after the tumor removal, Trish had been having headaches smaller than the migraines, but still strong enough to debilitate her. Since Trish was still having headaches, Trish’s neurosurgeon prescribed a medication for Trish to take when the headaches returned. Often these headaches would make Trish nauseous so a lot of her time dealing with the headaches she would lay down on the floor of her bathroom near the toilet until the headache passed.
In the morning hours of Monday, October 12th, Trish Schultz (Riggs) was found unresponsive in her bathroom. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the residence, but Trish had already passed away. The autopsy did not reveal any specific cause of death and we are still waiting for the toxicology report from the medical examiner.
Trish’s husband and family are trying to raise enough money to cover the memorial expenses and give Trish a proper funeral. Trish’s love, kindness and eagerness to always uplift and help others will never be forgotten.
