Seasonal Allergies: You can catch ’em on stage, even…

theatre west logo

Theatre West is issuing an audition call for their production of “Seasonal Allergies,” a comedy by Katherine DiSavino. “SEASONAL ALLERGIES is a funny, heartwarming story about friends, family, and holiday stresses. But this is a kinder, gentler comedy – more a Neil Simon family tale than a Ray Cooney family disaster, and the show is all the better for it.” – BroadwayWorld.com

“This is a delightfully funny play about a family dealing with one member in personal turmoil who comes to them seeking comfort, but turns into a monumental pain in the butt. The situation is real, the humor is real, but so is the sense of a family in turmoil trying to regain the warmth and love of the season.” – Lancaster Intelligencer

The Director is Stina Seeger-Gibson. Stina recently directed Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap.

The cast consists of 3 women, 3 men and 1 child. No previous acting experience is necessary. Rehearsals will begin shortly after auditions and will require a minimum of 4 nights a week.
In addition to actors, the director is recruiting several behind-the-scenes volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved at Theatre West, stop by auditions and introduce yourself to Stina or leave a message on our office phone at 541 994-5663.

Auditions will be held at the theatre at 3536 HWY 101 (So. 35th and 101) in Lincoln City on Sunday and Monday, October 18 and 19, at 7:00 P.M.

The play will run from December 29, through January 22. It will be presented on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 P.M. with call at 6:30 P.M. There will be one Sunday matinee, curtain at 2:00 P.M. and date to be determined once cast is selected.

Theatre West is a non-profit, all volunteer community theatre whose roots in the community go back to 1975. Membership dues are minimal at $15.00 per year for an individual $25.00 for a couple and $35.00 for a family. Everyone in the community is invited to join and support our Lincoln City community theatre. More information about the theatre may be found at www.theatrewest.com or call (541) 994-5663.
