The City of Newport advises motorists that during the week of October 18 – 24, 35th Street, from west of Chestnut Street to Ferry Slip Road, will be closed for construction. Traffic will be routed through Chestnut Street.
KSH Construction, the city’s contractor for the Ferry Slip Road Improvement Project, will be working on 35th Street. The exact dates of the closure depend on how much progress the contractor makes on the project during the week of October 11 – 17. Again, the detour will be through Chestnut Street.
Traffic will be affected by this work and is expected to be completed in one week unless unexpected conflicts are encountered during the work.
