A screening of the groundbreaking film, The Power of the Heart, will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2015, 6:30 pm at The Center for Health Education in Newport, Oregon. Woven into The Power of the Heart are interviews with some of today’s greatest teachers, including Maya Angelou, Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Eckhart Tolle, Jane Goodall, and Dean Shrock. Following the screening will be an exclusive Q&A with author and co- producer of the film, Baptist de Pape, and Dr. Dean Shrock. These thought leaders offer a truly inspirational guide to accessing the heart’s inexhaustible love and wisdom.
The film has been released in conjunction with the book, The Power of the Heart, which has been translated into 20 languages and distributed in 80 countries. In the book, Dr. Shrock, who is a Yachats, Oregon resident, discusses his work and research that joy, heartfelt communication, and feeling loved and cared for can improve the quality of life and life span of people with cancer.
The film is written and directed by Drew Heriot, the director of The Secret, who shares unforgettable lessons and new discoveries such as revealed by Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., Director of Research for the Institute of HeartMath. He discusses how the human heart noticeably reacts to images seen or yet to be seen, before the mind or body does. “The heart seems to be connected to a type of intuition that is not bound by the limits of time and space. But what is that intuition and how can we learn to tap into more of that?” This is the power of the heart.
