Coast Guard crews have found a 25 foot boat with two children and two adults onboard after it went missing Wednesday evening.
The Coast Guard reported the family had sailed out of Charleston for a day of crabbing, but they failed to show back up at the dock Wednesday night.
A daughter of one of the men on board reported it missing very early Thursday. The woman said she received a text message at 1am this morning from one of the men aboard the boat, relaying the boat’s coordinates.
Two Coast Guard helicopters, a search aircraft and a Coast Guard motorlifeboat were deployed. But it was one of the choppers that spotted the missing pleasure craft. Condition of the two men and children, ages 14 and 10, were said to be good. But they were very thirsty.
No word on what caused the four to not make it back into port Wednesday night.
