Racing schooner “America” on the Newport Bayfront
Charles Burke told us today that he went down to Port Dock 3 today to view the Yacht Schooner “America”, which is a replica of the first one built back in 1851. This version won the trophy by sailing the race around the Isle of Wight and won the trophy that now bears the name America’s Cup today.
