Sewer discharge on NE Holmes Road and Union Avenue
On July 28the, a sewer spill occurred, due to a force main pipeline that broke. The broken pipe is in the process of being repaired. The Wastewater crew used our vactor to stop the leak immediately.
The estimated amount of overflow was reported at 5,000 to 10,000 gallons. The overflow was discharged into a forested area and it did not reach any waterway.
The affected area was posted and will be treated with lime.
