When a very sick puppy was brought in to a local veterinarian looking very close to being starved to death, the vet immediately called the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies quickly tracked down the source of the puppy. They learned that where it was born was something of a puppy mill and that the puppies were being distributed or sold in very bad shape. Deputies learned the one puppy had already died and that a number of others were quite emaciated.
Deputies arrested Keegan Gray, 25 of Siletz and charged him with six counts of Animal Neglect. His bail was set at $70,000.
Also arrested was Sierra Mon, 21 also of Siletz. She was also charged with multiple counts of Animal Neglect. Her bail was set at $25,000.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
