(July 13, 2015) United Way of Benton and Lincoln Counties has awarded $26,753 in grants to eight Lincoln County agencies in the 2014-2015 cycle. The awards were recommended by United Way’s Lincoln Granting Committee June 9, 2015 and then ratified by the United Way Board of Directors June 23, 2015. The Committee is comprised of community volunteers who live and work throughout Lincoln County.
The allocations were made in United Way’s impact areas of Education, Income (Financial Stability) and Health. The table below shows the general United Way award, as well as awards from the three Impact Area funds.
Randy Getman, President of the Lincoln County United Way Committee, and a member of the Granting Committee, said, “The annual granting process a big key to help us continue the cycle of positive change in the community. I’ve always found it highly satisfying being involved, and this year I was very pleased with the level of participation and discussion from our many dedicated committee members at the table. We are extremely grateful to our donors for these funds raised right here in Lincoln County, which will go out to amplify the work being done by these local partner agencies.”
