Back by popular demand, Edmund Stone’s wit and wisdom about big screen movie music comes alive as he guides the audience while Newport Symphony Orchestra’s 60 piece orchestra plays under the baton of Adam Flatt. In the PAC’s quality music hall, this is an event not to miss. Casual and great for all ages. One performance only on Sunday, July 5, as a 2 p.m. matinee, this is truly a special concert.
Music selections will range from “Harry Potter” and “Jurassic Park” to some surprising classical pieces that make the movies so alive.
Expect to laugh and learn amazing nuggets about popular films and the music that enhances the experience of watching films.
While the musicians will be formally dressed, come as casual as you like. Great for the whole family and all ages. Special rate for children or students with ID. Last year, we sold this out so don’t wait to get your tickets! Based on space available, tickets will be available at the door or anytime through www.newportsymphony.org. Students are only $10, adults $34 with major credit cards accepted. Bring the entire family and complete the holiday weekend with some movie magic.
