The House-Senate Committee on recreational marijuana appears to have made some breakthroughs on how to craft a bill that satisfies those who figure that taking the middle ground on recreational marijuana is the best way to go.
The committee wrote a proposed bill that would actually allow rural areas of the state to be more strict with the weed – ban it altogether if they want. Kind of like the old days with alcohol. Some counties in the same state were very different in their attitudes about “hooch,” and therefore some banned booze altogether but just two miles down the road you could buy all your want. Wet and Dry Counties as they used to call them.
