Milo Graamans’s Benefit Piano Concert
The Friends of the Yachats Commons presents the next Milo Graamans Piano concert from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday June 7th at the Yachats Commons. This will be a benefit concert for the Yachats Ladies Club Kitchen Appliance Upgrade Fund, suggested donation is $10.00. Refreshments, provided by the Yachats Ladies Club will be available at intermission.
Milo grew up in Yachats and has studied piano with Jessica Treon of Waldport since the age of 4. He spent a year and half at the University of Oregon studying for a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance; but dropped out in order to move back to Yachats and complete his original musical She Loves Me Not. He is currently the organist/choir director at the Yachats Community Presbyterian Church, accompanist for the Central Coast Chorale and plays in the pit for many of the musical theater productions in Newport.
Here is your chance to see and hear Milo again. This program will feature a variety of different musical styles; original music (included selections from She Loves Me Not), folk music, a few obligatory classical selections, ragtime (Scott Joplin), and also a couple of surprises. He will be joined by guest performers Gidget Manucci, Pete Theodore, Cynthia Wilkes, and possibly others. If you are new to the area, here is your chance to hear a very gifted young man and his friends perform. June 7th at 2:00 pm at the Yachats Commons, 441 Hwy 101, Yachats. For more information or questions, contact Jessica Waddell at 541-270-5328.
Besides the benefit concert in Yachats Milo is scheduled to perform at the Newport Performing Arts Center on June 28 at 2:00 pm. That concert is sponsored by and will benefit the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts.
