President Barack Obama visited Oregon on Thursday, touting the benefits of something the American people have been completely barred from knowing anything about. Obama promised one crowd that the Trans Pacific Partnership act will erase many of the trade barriers that make it hard for American manufacturers to sell their products in many Asian countries.
Still skeptics derided the TPP because it’s been hammered out largely behind closed doors, will be given to the Congress to review (while having no power to change a word in it) and sixty days later to become law when President Obama signs it.
