Newport Farmer’s Market back outside – across Hwy 101 from City Hall this Saturday! Plenty of parking!
The Farmers Market moves outside for summer!
The Newport Farmers Market will begin Saturday, May 9th and run thru October 31st, every Saturday from 9 to 1. The Market will be located on Angle Street at Highway 101 across from Newport City Hall. To accommodate the pool construction at City Hall, the Market is in a new location this year, just across Highway 101 from our regular spot. There is lots of parking in the lot behind the courthouse. Look for the Red Rooster signs pointing the way!
This fun event brings people together to make a great community “buy local” experience. You’ll find locally made handcrafts, art and specialty foods and fresh fruits, vegetables and farm products from Lincoln County farms and growers from surrounding areas. Our food court will offer breakfast and lunch options including crepes, bbq, tacos, soup and sandwiches and fresh roasted coffee.
The Lemonade Project will be selling fresh squeezed lemonade, the proceeds help low-income shoppers purchase fresh produce. Volunteers are always needed to help run the booth, ask the market manager how you can serve.
Come check out what is new at the Market. Meet new farmers and artists, taste some delicious food, buy a treat or a special gift for Mother’s Day and catch up with friends and neighbors. The opening of the Newport Farmers Market means summer is just around the corner!
