ZOMBIE apocalypse…earth leveling asteroids…mega earthquakes…
Okay, maybe we can’t be ready for every “Doomsday” imaginable scenario portrayed in Hollywood movies but we can get ready for earthquakes, tsunamis, severe storms, floods, wildfires, pandemics, landslides and a lot more; and really have some fun doing it in a two session course offered free at Oregon Coast Community College (OCCC) in Lincoln City!
OCCC is offering (again) “Disaster Preparedness for the Pacific Northwest” (course #1070427) on two Thursday evenings May 14th and May 21 from 5:30 to 8:30pm at OCCC north Campus in Lincoln City.
Learn what environmental, meteorological and man-made events have struck our region and how to prepare for them in the future. Recognize the need for disaster preparedness, learn about the necessary supplies your family and community will need to ride out a short-term disaster, and what you’ll really need to survive and stay “relatively” comfortable during a long-term event.
You’ll even be able to taste some of the latest in survival food, and yes, there will be talk of Zombie survival skills!
Tuition is free and registration is easy, just call 541-996-6222.
