Taft senior splits day between links, track and field events
Mark Twain once called golf “a good walk spoiled.”
Wonder what Taft senior Sarahi Herver would say about that?
Herver spent her day Thursday striding down the fairways of Chinook Winds Golf Resort playing a competitive brand of the game over an 18-hole span as a junior varsity representative of the Tigers’ girls golf team.sarahis5
By early afternoon, she was sprinting headlong down a rain-soaked synthetic track.
Herver placed fourth in the 200-meter dash ( 29.75), fifth in the 100 (14.49) and second in the long jump by a mere inch (14-05) on a day Twain might have referred to as downright rotten.
