The Pacific Communities Health District (PCHD) Foundation will host a presentation entitled, “Women, Wisdom and Money” on Wednesday, April 8, as part of its annual meeting of the Women’s Giving Circle. Julia Carlson, CEO and wealth advisor with Financial Freedom Wealth Management Group, will present straight talk about financial wellness for women.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital (SPCH) Education Room. Current participants and women interested in learning more about the circle are invited to attend free of charge.
Those attending will also receive an update on the progress of last year’s grants, which included dental vans for uninsured patients, art support groups for people with chronic conditions, and training materials for staff in the SPCH Birthing Center. The circle will be asked to vote on this year’s fund distribution.
The Women’s Giving Circle offers a unique opportunity to learn more about health care and philanthropy as well as contribute to a fund, which benefits women and children within the scope of patient care provided by Samaritan Pacific Health Services.
To join the PCHD Foundation Women’s Giving Circle, participants make an annual donation of $250, which can be made in 10 monthly payments of $25 each. A light supper will be served. Reservations are required by Friday, April 3. To make reservations or request more information, contact the PCHD Foundation at 541-574-4745 or UMarinelli@SamHealth.org.
