The Oregon Senate has passed a bill that would let motorcyclists and bicycle riders carefully move through an intersection even though the light is red. Seems that many Oregon traffic lights don’t electronically “see” small motorcycles, especially bicyclists when they pull up to the stop line and so they sit there light cycle after light cycle, not being able to proceed to their destination.
Well – Oregon Legislature to the rescue. The senate has already passed such a bill and it’s headed to the House. The story is in the Oregonian. Click here.
