The contractor for the Highway 101 Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project will begin mobilizing equipment to begin construction starting February 17th.
Construction is anticipated to last through the first week of May.
The project includes pedestrian crossing improvements at the intersections of 15th, 10th, 3rd, Angle, Lee, Alder, Abbey, and Bayley Streets. The improvements will also include one pedestrian activated signal located at the intersection of Angle Street on the south end of City Hall.
This project will involve some lane and sidewalk closures. Please watch for construction personnel and avoid walking through the construction site. The contractor will make every effort to provide safe pedestrian passage around the work area.
The city will be maintaining a Mindmixer site to allow stakeholders to provide input during construction and to provide construction updates. This site will also have drawings of the improvements, and a site map showing the intersections where the improvements will take place.
