Lincoln City: Developer wanting to “transform” Lighthouse Square hammered with a half million dollar judgement for cheating employees
West Linn based commercial property investor David Emami has been hit with an over $500,000 court judgement for shorting his employees a quarter million dollars in unpaid overtime plus an equal amount for damages. The judge also ordered Emami to neither threaten nor take action against his employees for turning him into the U.S. Labor Department for shorting their wages.
Emami was recently before the Lincoln City City Council asking for permission to transform his Lighthouse Square property at the north end of town so he could dramatically increase the square footage of the northern buildings on the property so he could bring in larger retailers.
