Accused nationwide con artist Gerard Beaudoin watches as his bail rises to $4.5 million – more cases pouring in.
Theft cases just keep pouring in to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s office on accused master thief Gerard Beaudoin. Reports say using a Shakespearean false name and a very convincing demeanor, Gerard Beaudoin has left a trail of accusers from New England, down to New Orleans and up to Lincoln City and other parts of the county.
In court today, Beaudoin was hit with 51 additional charges raising his already high bail to $4.5 million dollars. The DA’s office says the new charges bring with them further investigations, evidence recovery operations and more, before a trial can begin. It was expected that Beaudoin would be facing trial fairly soon based on what was already believed to be the case about this New England native. But with the discovery of so many additional allegations his trial date has been postponed.
Beaudoin is accused of fraudulent dealings with clients over their investments, finances and other financial dealings. Again he’s being held in the Lincoln County Jail on $4.5 million dollars bail.
