From Lane County Sheriff’s Office
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in locating a missing Gresham man who may be in Lane, Benton or Lincoln Counties. Collin Ferguson was reported missing by his father after his son’s vehicle was found in northern Benton County in the town Alsea, on Highway 34, by a forest ranger.
When the vehicle wasn’t moved for several days, the ranger tried to contact the registered owner and was able to reach Ferguson’s father, who thought his son was headed to Astoria for work. He said it was unusual to have not heard from his son for so long, And so upon hearing that his son’s vehicle had been abandoned, he immediately filed a missing person’s report.
Collin Ferguson is a 35 year old white male with reddish/brown hair and brown eyes, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds. The picture included in the missing person report shows him with a beard – but he is now believed to be clean shaven.
Ferguson was last seen at the Alsea store near where his vehicle was discovered on January 14. It was reported later by a witness that he was displaying rather odd behavior.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who has seen Collin Ferguson to contact them at 541-682-4141. And they thank you for any help or information that might lead to determining Ferguson’s well being.
