Waldport picks up a newbie – Two hold-overs also sworn in…and Mayor Woodruff is in for a third term.
Despite some early controversy about whether Mayor Susan Woodruff could run again for mayor, Mayor Woodruff was ultimately cleared to land on the council dais for another term on Thursday. She raised her hand and was sworn in for a third time on the council after all the legalese was worked out. The city charter talks about a 12 year limit for a particular job on the council. Woodruff was first elected mayor in 2010.
And three other councilors were sworn in today, newbie Jack Christenson raised his hand and repeated the swearing in statement verbatim as did incumbent councilors Dann Cutter and Greg Holland.
