On December 17, 2014 at approximately 11:30am, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of a missing person from the Tillicum Beach Campground, a US Forest Service park north of Yachats, Oregon. The caller advised her adult son, 27 year old Wenatchee, WA resident Bryan Edward McKinney, was staying with his father in their motor home at the campground when he went missing at approximately 5:00pm on December 16th. McKinney was reported to be autistic and easily disoriented.
Nine days later a body had washed up on Baker Beach north of Florence. The male body was taken to the Medical Examiners office in Eugene, where an autopsy was performed. Through dental records it was confirmed that the body was that of Bryan McKinney, 27 years old, out of Wenatchee ,Washington who had gone missing from Tillicum Beach RV Park on Decmeber 17th. The family has been notified and funeral arrangements are pending.
