ODOT Public Information Officer Rick Little tells News Lincoln County that experts will be on scene Monday, at the Highway 101 road slump just south of Heceta head, to assess whether one lane of traffic, controlled by flaggers is feasible. The road damage is in a flat forested area. No sea cliffs.
In the meantime, NO traffic is being allowed through. And there are NO DETOURS, EXCEPT FOR HIGHWAY 34 AT WALDPORT AND HIGHWAY 126 AT FLORENCE. However, Highway 126 is temporarily closed until tide waters subside. Highway 126 is temporarily closed three miles east of Florence as of 1:07pm, Sunday.
