A funny thing happened on the way to what appeared to be a slam dunk on fixing southwest Oregon’s O&C counties funding drought as well as the Klamath River’s water woes. Neither may happen. Instead, Sen. Ron Wyden, in his waning days as Senate Finance Committee chairman, may see those bills plunge over the fiscal falls of the current session of the Congress, giving way to other solutions being pursued by political friends and foes alike.
