Huge waves, a fishing boat going down out from under them eight miles off Siletz Bay. Not something anyone would want to be in the middle of. But the crew of the F/V Blazer found themselves in that very deadly situation early Saturday morning as their crab pot load shifted, pulling their 75 foot fishing vessel over to one side, causing it to take on water.
Fortunately the crew had time to get into their survival suits, which made all the difference for two of the five crew members aboard who held on for dear life in their life raft.
