A Freezing Rain Advisory remains in effect until noon today below 1000 feet for the Central Coast Range of Western Oregon, the Central Willamette Valley and South Willamette valley.
* Timing… freezing rain began early this morning around 4:00am and will transition to rain mid-morning. Spots of freezing rain may linger in the Coast Range valleys until midday.
* Ice accumulations… up to one tenth of an inch. Locally up to a quarter of an inch, especially in the Coast Range where freezing rain is expected to last longer.
* Impacts… freezing rain will produce a layer of ice on roadways and sidewalks that will make traveling difficult.
A freezing rain advisory means that periods of freezing rain or freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
