Oregon Pacific Coast Annual Passports will be on sale at a $5 discount beginning December 1st. The $35 annual passport will be sold for $30 during the month of December.

The passports are valid for all day-use and parking fees at Oregon State Parks, Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service sites along the Oregon Coast.

The $5 discount on the annual pass allows local residents to get a little break on the price.

The passes are sold at coastal state parks, federal agency offices and local vendors in several coastal communities. Passes are also available at the Siuslaw Forest Headquarters in Corvallis, Willamette National Forest Headquarters in Springfield and via the Oregon State Parks toll free number (1-800-551-6949).

The annual passport is valid for a full year from the date of purchase and covers day-use and parking fees at more than 20 sites along the entire length of the Oregon coast.

Although not discounted, there is also a five-day passport, costing $10, ideal for people visiting the coast for just a short time.

Revenues from passport sales are retained locally and help operate, maintain and enhance recreation facilities and services managed by the four participating agencies. Pass revenues supplement regular budgets and allow coastal sites to provide higher levels of service than would otherwise be possible.

“One pass that covers day-use and parking fees at places like Lewis and Clark National Historic Park, the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, all the beautiful coastal State Parks, Cape Perpetua Visitor Center and Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area is a tremendous value and convenience for visitors,” stated Forson. “It’s a great way for us all to help take care of these wonderful places that make the Oregon Coast so special.”
