Inconsistent enforcement of court orders on those ordered to turn in their gun(s) in domestic violence cases.
When Ian Elias shot and killed his estranged wife in front of their children and then himself in Portland earlier this week, he did it with a gun that had been ordered by the court to be turned in. Apparently, no one made sure he followed the judge’s order.
