The Lincoln County Grand Jury handed down indictments today in the case of Jillian McCabe, accused of throwing her 6 year old autistic son, London McCabe, off the Yaquina Bay Bridge a week ago today.
The Grand Jury’s indictments were for Murder, Aggravated Murder and two counts of Manslaughter.
McCabe is set for arraignment Thursday, November 20th. Her attorneys have filed a motion for a determination as to whether McCabe is “fit” to proceed. McCabe has fought mental illness for quite some time, according to her family. That, plus the drain of having to be constantly caring for an autistic son and her husband who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. That strain is thought to have produced delusions and voices that she claimed to have heard that ordered her to throw her son off the 135 foot high span.
The family announced that if the community would like to send their condolences to McCabe’s family on behalf of London McCabe, the address is: “Remembering London,” 1180 NW Art Street, Seal Rock, 97376.
