South Lincoln Resources’ Holiday Food Baskets needs your donations. Individual giving is the key to the community-wide effort helping our neighbors through the holiday season. In case you’re wondering what to give, here are some suggestions: peanut butter, tuna, soups, vegetables, fruit, beans, yams, cranberry sauce, cereal and pasta.
You may drop food off at Central Coast Fire and Rescue in Waldport or.look for the familiar green tubs throughout the south county. Find them in Yachats at the Fire Station, Bank of the West, Yachats Baptist Church and Community Presbyterian Church. There are more tubs in Waldport at Ray’s Food Place, Chuck’s Video, Waldport Library, Crestview Golf Club, Oregon Coast Bank, Umpqua Bank, Washington Federal and Columbia Bank. The Assembly of God, Community Presbyterian, First Baptist, Our Savior Lutheran, Seventh-day Adventist, St. Anthony’s Catholic, St Luke’s Episcopal and Waldport Foursquare churches are also collecting food. On the Seal Rock side of the bridge, visit the Bay Mart Deli.
Cash donations are always welcomed to help buy all the turkeys and perishable foods. Mail to South Lincoln Resources, PO Box 1638, Waldport, OR 97394. Write HFB in the memo line. For more information, call 541-563-2388.
