Climate Change and how it’ll affect residents along the Oregon Coast, as the new century wears on, will be the topic of a public discussion conducted by the Lincoln County Public Health Advisory Committee. The free event will be held Thursday, November 13th, 7pm at Newport’s Visual Arts Center at the Nye Beach Turnaround.
With atmospheric temperatures already up 1 degree over historic averages and expected to rise another 2.5 degrees over the next 100 years, it’s expected to cause climate shifts around the globe. And that will have a profound effect on agriculture, rivers, streams, sea level, general weather patterns AND public health everywhere.
Learn who it’ll affect public health along the Oregon Coast during this special information program at the Visual Arts Center in Newport, Thursday, Novembe 13th, at 7pm. Again it’s a free program and the public is encouraged to attend.
