455 high school seniors graduated, 107 did not graduate on time, many still pending. Ultimately records show less than 5% don’t get a high school degree or GED. Latest records show that nearly 49% of graduates in 2011 went on to college of some sort. No data available on how many got two or four year degrees.
You can see from the data that in Math the top performers were Newport and Taft High Schools. In Reading it was Taft and Newport leading again with Waldport right behind, and in Science it was Taft leading the pack with Newport and Waldport quite a ways back. So Taft High showing marked testing improvement over the past few years.
During 2013-14 school year, over 2/3 of students were on free or reduced cost lunches, showing very high poverty rate across all schools.
