In commemoration of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Coastal Shoes and Yaleet, Inc., distributors of Naot footwear, have teamed together to make a donation to My Sisters’ Place. On Tuesday, Alison Money and Karen Burman, representatives of Coastal Shoes, made a visit to the advocacy office of My Sisters’ Place in Newport to drop off the donation. Yaleet, Inc. and Coastal Shoes contributed 105 pairs of women’s shoes and boots (sizes 5-12, in an array of styles).
Naot has manufactured men’s and women’s shoes in northern Israel since 1942. Translated, Naot means oasis and the unique anatomical footpad design does create an oasis is for your feet. Being Israel’s leading manufacturer and exporter of shoes, Naot and Yaleet, Inc. has generously agreed to contribute to My Sister’s Place in an effort to promote a world free of domestic violence. Because a good relationship should feel better than even a great pair of shoes.
My Sister’s Place is a private non-profit, which was incorporated in 1980. The mission of My Sisters’ Place is to support victims facing domestic violence, sexual assault and dating abuse in Lincoln County by providing shelter, practical assistance and promoting community awareness. My Sisters’ Place operates a 24-hour crisis line, confidential shelter and an advocacy office. The intention of My Sisters’ Place is to distribute the donated shoes to the advocacy clients and shelter residents.
Coastal Shoes takes pride in providing the residents of the Central Oregon Coast with quality footwear and are pleased to be able to arrange this donation while raising awareness of domestic violence.
