For people with chronic health conditions, good medical care is just half of the equation. Equally important is their ability to make healthy decisions, follow their doctor’s recommendations and take care of their condition.
Living Well with Chronic Conditions, a FREE workshop offered in Lincoln County by Senior and Disability Services, teaches people with lifelong health condition to do just that. Participants have less pain and more energy.
The classes, offered weekly throughout Lincoln County are for anyone with a chronic disease. Chronic diseases are lifelong health conditions and include diabetes, arthritis, HIV/AIDS, high blood pressure, depression, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and others.
Living Well workshops are delivered in six weekly sessions. They are taught by two certified leaders who have a chronic disease themselves.
The next set of workshops will be in Waldport starting Tuesday October 7th and continuing through November 11th. The workshop will be held from 2:00-4:30 pm at the Waldport Senior Center. To learn more or register for the class please call (541) 336-2289.
