This inner-coastal traffic report brought to you by Cliff House Bed and Breakfast, on Waziyata in Waldport.
From your eye in the sky, Live Copter NLC, you can see that traffic between Alsea Bay Bridge to the jaws is backed way up due to fishermen striking a number of slithery objects in the water. And funny enough, nobody’s called for a tow. But it will make for slow angling for everyone else for a while.
Those who would like to get around the pile-up, take either the Oceania or Alsea Bay Drive exits and re-launch just outside the jaws. Those trapped inside the jam-up might consider exiting on Waziyata, loop around the point, and re-deploy at Patterson State park. As for the rest caught in the middle, hang-on, help is coming. The “Fish or Die” fish processing company has setup a buyer’s dock connected to the sea wall.
This is Dave Morgan aboard Live Copter NLC for Cliff House Bed and Breakfast.
