Don’t be the cause of something like this!

From the National Weather Service in Portland

…CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT…

A SURFACE THERMAL TROUGH WILL REMAIN NEAR THE OREGON COAST RANGE AND THE SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON LOWLANDS THROUGH MONDAY. THE COMBINATION OF LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY…MID-LEVEL INSTABILITY AND CRITICALLY DRY FUELS WILL MAINTAIN EXTREME FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGH MONDAY.

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST MOVING NORTH IS EXPECTED TO BE OFF THE SOUTH OREGON COAST
LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING. THIS WILL RESULT IN A
THREAT OF DRY THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT…ADDING ANOTHER CRITICAL ELEMENT TO THE EXTREME FIRE WEATHER ENVIRONMENT.

One fire has already taken off near Estacada and grew from 100 acres to over a thousand in just a few short hours. Here’s the latest on it from The Oregonian. Click here.
