If you were at our last meeting, you know the City decided to move forward with urgently needed repairs to the Vista Pump Station Pressure Main. On Tuesday, Council will discuss the Gleneden Beach Sanitary District request to review their agreement with the City Of Depoe Bay for sewer services (Close to 90% of the material pumped through the Vista Pump Station comes from Gleneden Beach).
Additionally, the renewal of a 20 year lease which permits the Coast Guard to use city-owned land at the channel entrance will be discussed. Fish plant lease proposals, the Council meeting video policy and a number of expense requests are also on the agenda. Other items include the seasonal harbor worker position, the harbor Master Plan Advisory Committee and the fish plant jib crane bid award. The complete agenda is attached.
Thank you to those who attended the last meeting. We hope you can join us this week. Your opinion matters to us and your presence informs our deliberations. Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting!
One other important note: ODOT will be shot blasting the Depoe Bay Bridge on Sunday 08/17 starting around 7 pm or as traffic allows. Tuesday night 08/19 the ODOT crew will be working on repairing any broken concrete on the bridge deck, then starting Wednesday night 08/20 and continuing Thursday night there will be a crew applying a deck seal and wear surface to the bridge. They will start at 7 pm and be done by 6 am. They will keep one lane open both northbound and southbound at all times. ODOT is also trying to schedule paving the approaches to this bridge.
Travel safe and enjoy today!
