Naturalist painter Michael Gibbons’ annual 3-day En Plein Air Painting workshop begins Friday, June 25 and runs through the 27th. A maximum cohort of ten students will gather for instruction at the JP Art Studio in Toledo each day followed by journeying to and painting at sites around the Yaquina Bay.
Mr. Gibbons always schedules his workshops during Toledo’s Summer Festival and invites students to join him at his studio parking lot at 10pm in the historic 1887 1st Methodist Church to watch Toledo’s fabulous fireworks. The Workshop’s last day will find the students in the artist’s garden of his home in the 1926 Vicarage to paint and enjoy a Pizza lunch from Cobblestone Pizza.
