Anyone who consumes “energy” drinks is hoping that the products’ advertising claims will indeed “kick in” for them. And they do, but what among their advertised ingredients does the “kicking?” In this case, 5 Hour Energy drink claims that although there’s a load of caffeine in there, they have added other ingredients that are of strategic importance.
Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum disagrees in the strongest sense and has reacted in kind with filing an action to cause the company to no longer sell 5 Hour Energy drink in Oregon.
