The City receives requests for funding from local non-profits each year as part of its budget preparation process. Once the City Council has approved the budget (which happens after the Council receives recommendation from the Budget Committee), a Committee of City Councilors reviews the applications for funding and makes a recommendation to the full City Council as to which agencies should receive funds.
“The City Council has made it a priority over the years to set money aside in the City budget for local non-profit agencies” said Dick Anderson, Mayor, City of Lincoln City. “Our recipients perform vital work in our community, from helping school-aged children get a meal to making sure the needs of our senior citizens are met. The Council appreciates the support of the citizens of Lincoln City in making these grants available”.
