From Robert McBride: Thirty some years ago, I read the “Sagittarius Child” section in the book Sun Signs by Linda Goodman. This was my awakening, for it seemed as though she had followed me through my childhood and wrote what she observed. I felt there must be something to it after all. Twenty some years ago I had a full chart done. It was outstanding, and I have it to this day. The astrologer who did it for me spent nearly three hours going over it with me. It really described me in detail – even things I hadn’t been aware of but somehow knew were true. About three months later, far away from the astrologer, I reviewed my chart and could not understand it as I had when he explained to me. I decided right then that I was going to learn this science and devise a way that others could learn the basics without needing me in order to use this wonderful tool going forward.
My 3-hour workshop offers the basics for understanding the authentic self astrologically, in a way that is easy to use and remember. What is Astrology? Astrology is the science of finding connection between those of us on the Earth and the Cosmos. It follows the patterns of movement by the planets and stars and assigns meanings to them that relate to human motivation and consciousness. Astrology is not a simple meaning like what you read in the horoscope section of the newspaper. A true astrological report takes into account not only the Sun sign (what you get in the paper), but the placements of all the planets of our solar system and sometimes other celestial bodies as well in relation to your birth time. When all these meanings are compiled, it becomes a very complex and detailed description of a person’s profile.
You must register in person and the following information is needed no later than 3 days before the workshop: Name, date of birth, time of birth (if known), and place of birth. The workshops will be held in the education room at the 60+ Center, located at 20 SE 2nd Street in Newport. For more information call 541-265-9617.
