There and Back Again
With Lincoln County Transit
You may not know it, but whichever direction you’re heading, more than likely, there’s a bus that can get you there. The new Oregon Connector bus line serves every major city in Lincoln County, and can even transport you to the valley for shopping, doctor’s appointments, or to visit friends and family.
On Tuesday, July 15th from 11am to Noon, the Newport 60+ Activity Center will be hosting representatives from Lincoln County Transit, who will bring us all up to speed on how to get around using public transportation.
Lincoln County Transit Operations Supervisor Fred Collazo, and colleague Julie Kay, have generously offered their time and expertise to bring this invaluable information to us about our options when it comes to getting from point A to point B on public transportation. This will also be a good opportunity for children with aging parents to assist them with their transportation transitions.
The presentation will be held in the multi-purpose room at the center and light refreshments will be served. The Newport 60+ Activity Center is located at 20 SE 2nd Street in Newport. For more information, call the Center at 541-265-9617. To learn more about the Connector Bus, visit www.co.lincoln.or.us/transit.
