“The Secret Garden” members show at the Chessman Gallery
Lincoln City Cultural Center
LINCOLN CITY- Every summer Lincoln City Cultural Center Members submit artwork for a show in the Chessman gallery that promises beauty, creativity and diversity. This show will feature something for everyone’s tastes: photography, sculpture, jewelry, paintings, ceramics, textiles, prints and more! The show opens with a reception on Friday, July 11th, from 5 to 7 pm and will remain on display through August 5th. The center, and the gallery, will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday through Monday.
This year’s members’ show is entitled “The Secret Garden” and in the spirit of the wonderful summer that we have experienced this year, the artwork will be presented in a secret garden of artistic delights. Prepare to be dazzled by the talented member artists of the Lincoln City Cultural Center.
Membership in the LCCC, which starts at $30 a year for individuals, has a variety of benefits. One of them is the ability to enter works for the members-only art shows.
The Chessman Gallery, named for the late arts advocate P.J. Chessman, is located inside the Lincoln City Cultural Center, 540 NE Hwy. 101. The center is also home to Lincoln City’s official visitor welcome center, the LCCC Members Gift Shop, the studio of sculptor Jill Perry Townsend, a renovated dance studio, ceramic studio, textile studio and several other creative spaces.
