11:16am The Coast Guard reports there are three people in the water west of the NOAA docks.
11:30am The Coast Guard launched a 47 foot motor lifeboat and picked up the three boaters, attached a line on their boat and towed them back into the South Beach Marina.
11:45am The Coast Guard said a passing boat traveling very fast created a wake that swamped the mens’ small craft, tossing them into the bay. The Coast Guard reminds boaters that they are responsible for boating responsibly and that damage caused by their wakes are on their checkbook.
Other than being somewhat cold and rather wet, the three men were returned to the South Beach Marina, along with their boat.
