Living well despite chronic conditions
Living Well Helps Lincoln County Residents Live Better Despite Chronic Conditions
Is your health condition controlling your life? Are you just plain tired of being tired? If so, consider participating in a Living Well workshop.
Living Well with Chronic Conditions is a FREE workshop offered in Lincoln County. People who participate report having less pain, more energy and fewer hospitalizations.
“I recommend Living Well for anyone who is tired of fighting with their body. It taught me lots of practical ways to deal with my health so that I can enjoy life and continue doing the things I love,” stated a former participant.
The classes, offered weekly throughout Lincoln County are for anyone with a chronic disease. Chronic diseases are lifelong health conditions and include diabetes, fibromyalgia, obesity, arthritis, high blood pressure, depression, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety, multiple sclerosis, and others.
Living Well workshops are delivered in six two-and-a-half-hour weekly sessions. They are taught by two certified leaders who have much experience with chronic illnesses.
Learn how to reduce your stress, set weekly action plans, problem-solve effectively, improve communication, eat well, manage symptoms and medication, work with your health care provider, and get more physical activity.
