The non-profit Friends of Yaquina Lighthouses will host its Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, June 21st at 6 pm at the interpretive center at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. The meeting is free and open to the community offering refreshments as the organization presents its year-in-review, election of officers, and announcement of upcoming events and activities. The presentation will feature entertainment by the a cappella musical group the Sea Notes and be followed by a guided evening tour of Yaquina Head Lighthouse; participants must sign up for this tour at the meeting.

The organization seeks new board members to help lead and provide governance in the upcoming year. Experienced leaders, small business owners, financial managers or CPAs, educators, volunteer coordinators, and contractors or architects and those with similar experiences are sought. Board members play a significant role in developing the strategy and guiding the activities of the organization, collaborate with federal and state government land agency partners and fellow community members to manage resources, and represent the organization at special events and outreach activities.

Interested parties please contact Lauren Craven, Executive Director for more information at 541-574-3129 or foyl@yaquinalights.org.
