Newport – Keri Mills, Marketing Consultant at KSHL Radio, has been named the Newport Employee of the Year by the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber honored Mills at their annual hospitality training seminar Know Your Newport. Mills was nominated for the award after being selected as the June 2013 Employee of the Month by the Chamber’s Hospitality Committee. Other nominees included Morgan Meevwsen of Mariner Enterprises, Amy Hanscom of Mariner Enterprises, Darin Viar of Bike Newport, Alfredo Cacho of Georgie’s Beachside Grill, Reitha McCabe of Radiant Church, Melony Hein of Columbia Bank, Ella Spikes of Bateman Senior Meals & Newport 60+ Center, Amy Watson of Starfish Grill, Chad Small of Embarcadero Resort & Marina, Kimberly Jones of Oregon Coast Community College, and Slavic Samoylich of Sherwin-Williams.
Owner of KSHL Stephanie Linn says when Mills walked through the door, she knew “she was someone special.” Mills has over 25 years of broadcast experience and a wealth of knowledge in production and marketing. She has a reputation of delivering one-on-one attention and individualized advertising plans to each of her clients. In addition to her professional skills, Mills is actively involved with the local community as an Ambassador for the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.
Mills was awarded a $250 cash prize along with the honor of being Newport’s Employee of the Year.
